About LifeSource and Donate Life

LifeSource – At the heart of organ donation.

Donate Life Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota are state-based donor registry websites managed by LifeSource, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives through organ, eye and tissue donation in the Upper Midwest.

LifeSource serves the 7 million people who live in communities across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and portions of western Wisconsin. A team of passionate and committed first responders, the LifeSource team specializes in the process of organ donation so that transplants reach waiting recipients, supports donor families and inspires people in communities across the upper Midwest to register as donors.

About the Campaign

The Check the Box campaign features real people from our communities who are personally impacted by donation and transplantation, as well as supporters who believe that registering to be a donor is important. Donation begins with a conversation, and we aim to spark life-saving conversations about donation and transplantation and share the message that everyone should register as a donor – a decision that saves and heals lives.

The People Behind This Campaign

Our campaign participants have backgrounds and experiences that illustrate everyone can register as an organ, eye and tissue donor and we hope our community members see themselves reflected in this campaign. And while 70% of participants have been personally impacted by donation, a personal connection to donation is not a requirement to register – many people in our community register as a donor simply because they believe it’s the right choice.
