It’s amazing the impact one simple decision can have.
Eighteen people die each day in the U.S. waiting for an organ or tissue transplant, and more than 105,000 are waiting for a life-saving transplant. But everyone can help by making one decision – checking “yes” for organ and tissue donation when they renew their driver’s license.
To help promote this issue, we’re running a public service announcement showing someone just like you making this important decision. Some of the people you’ll see in the ad have actually been impacted by organ and tissue donation – some have received transplants, some have family members whose donated organ saved a life, and others are waiting for a transplant. You can mouse-over the photo above to find their stories, or click on the links to the left.
You also can officially choose donor designation online. Click on the bright orange “Register Now” box above, and you’ll be led to an online form that takes five minutes to complete. That’s it!
